A Beautiful New Born

Daniel asked me to photograph his new born baby at his house.  I accepted the challenge!  I’m glad all my studio stuff(speedlites, softbox, wireless TX, wireless RX, stands, backdrop, etc…) is portable.  All of my speedlite, extra batteries, softbox and stands all fit in a small hand bag.  In my backpack was my D7000, battery grip, Nikon 50mm f1.8 and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 just in case.  I also had 3 backdrop to pack with me… red soft blanket, light brown soft blanket and my favorite black fur blanket.  I figure every one has a couch, All I have to do is drape my blankets onto it and you have an instant studio style backdrop.  Just add some softboxes and you are golden!

So this was my first new born photo-shoot.  I thought it turnout awesome.  I lit the black backdrop to be very dramatic lighting and distraction free.  I hope you like it.  Thanks again, Daniel for letting me shared the special moment you and hopefully you now have some great photos to treasure.
