This is a fundraiser snowshoe event at Ogden Nordic Center at North Fork. I did this last year and I finally got around to posting this. At the time I only had my Panasonic GH3 and Gh2 to shoot stills for this event. I use an adapter so I can use my Nikon glass. I think I had the Nikon 85mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR Lens and the Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 to cover this event. Because its not a Panasonic lens, I had to shoot the day in manual focus. Its harder than it looks, lucky for me the GH3 has an electronic shutter. I could get about 30 fps before it starts to buffer.
Good thing for me the snow shoe sport isn’t that fast, except when a couple of elite racer running toward me around the finishing line.
Focusing Manually on my GH3 with Nikon lens are pretty tough.
It was Nice and beautiful day for a race!
It was a good turnout, I can’t wait to do it again soon!
